She grew up in New Jersey, played soccer at Duke, then professionally at AC Sparta and the Reign FC. She took a year and a half away from soccer due to a mental health crisis, but came back to play one last season with the North Carolina Courage. She has become a mental health advocate and co-hosts The Mental Matchup podcast, which is focused on sharing stories about athlete mental health. She has also worked in a variety of environmentally-focused roles part-time, and is now working in her first full-time role at Research Triangle Institute, which will be the start of a career devoted to improving public and environmental health.
